Standards

Introduction

In 2016 the assessment of children at the end of Key Stage 2 changed significantly. The old system of Levels was replaced by scaled scores. At the same time the expected standards in all subjects were raised significantly. This new system has been in place now for 2 years. The Fischer Family Trust has analysed the national and school specific data to enable a comparison year on year using the new scaled score system.

Overview of Key Stage 2 Results in Summer 2017

The average scaled score for Reading & Maths puts our performance in the top 25% of schools in the country.

65% of our pupils achieved the national standard in all three of Reading, Writing & Maths combined. This compares with only 61% nationally.

12% of our pupils achieved the higher standard in all three subjects combined, compared to 9% nationally.

Our progress is above national average in Reading and in line with national average in Writing & Maths.
